Retro Newbie
Hello guys, Got one of the above on the work stand in the shed. Its dark green with a polished rear triangle. My neighbour says theres a construction link to British Eagle. Theres a 7005 alu tubing sticker at the base of the seat tube. The head tube is a slightly oversize 1 & 7/16" internal diameter and were having trouble finding a headset to fit for a 1 & 1/8th steerer tube. Any pointers would be appreciated. Also struggling to post some photos of it so.........

One of these is it?

i remember the lotus frames/bikes, they were indeed made by british eagle the same people who did the "boss" bikes, nothing wrong the those particular frames at all, the ones in green/polished i thought looked really nice. the headesets were 1 1/4, what you can do is get some heaset reducer inserts, that way you can fit whatever 1 1/8 headset and fork that you like.

here's alink to what i'm talking about but i think st johns street cycles do them aswel.

the king solution is very good but also very expensive, this is a budget but viable solution. had one in my aluminium O when i first got it and it worked fine. basically they are shims to reduce the internal diameter to that of 1 1/8

That's the badger, except my friends is green/polished with the stickers still on. Looks good anyway. Thanks for all the info guys.....
