Fat Chance Yo Betty!

Spikes

Retro Guru
This Betty (aka Buck Shaver XS) was bought in terrible condition. The frame was powder coated in a horrid blue/white fade. The decals were home made and came from Halfords (I think). Nice project for my girlfriend though!

After a professional respray (it's supposed to mimic the original colour called 'raspberry ice', but it is actually a Fiat paint) and a new set of original decals it looks the works again.

Setup is functional: LX group, Avid braked, Thomson post, fillet brazed Fat Chance stem, Ritchey bars, Gripshift, dual sided spuds, Selle Italia Lady seat, Mavic X717 rims, Cane Creek headset and Fast Fred rubber. The fork is a Judy XC that was powdered black, to match the stem, bars and post.

Best of all: she loves the bike and is very proud of it!

that looks triffic - fantastic job!
id love to be able to get something like that for my GF... but then i'd be jealous of it! hehehe :p

@scant: it's a 12" (XS). The frame looks ultra sleek, because the top tube and seat stays are almost in line.

Great job Spikes, not surprised your missus is pleased with it...

My missus is jealous too, that's lovely! Well, until she gets her Bonty built... ;)

How about a "One for the ladies" BOTM then?
