Another Hei Hei (Hehe)

Here's my 1998 Kona Hei Hei (17"). It's sports a rasta CK HS, Paul V's and red Kooka levers to compliment the tropical decals and has been 'Ti'-ed out as much as is reasonable at the moment. Not quite as much as my Dekerf ST, but we'll get to that later.

The frame is a 17".

I started my pre-suspension mountain bike life riding 18" frames, but after suspension forks came along, and especially after I added a couple of Ritchey's to my stable, I found I was more comfortable on 16 or 17 inch frames depending on their geometry.

Since adding the Hei Hei to the stable my Hot has suffered from neglect.

I've always liked smaller frames. I think on the whole a 17-17.5in frame is about the perfect shape aesthetically (generally). Kind of like a size 7 (UK) shoe is deemed the perfect size to display by Nike etc.

My XLM is 17.5 and it is perfect for me, loads of standover and chuckable, without being cramped.

That is proper lovely Zero, really like it.
