1983 Trek 850

My first mtb, 1983 Trek 850. Mostly stock apart from saddle and stem. Original cable housing was a ruby red, sorta clear. Loaned the bike out for a few years. Had it back for a bit. Let it go about two years ago to a shop for their display.

That is a unique machine, I like it a lot but couldnt live with that saddle :shock:

a set of bullmoose bars/stem would look the part on this

Thanks. The original saddle was an Avocet, long worn out. Not sure how I ever managed to ride that one that's on it now. Original stem was one of the MTS-100s (I think that's what they were labelled). In any case, a true bullmoose would have been sweet.

I've got a black Sakae swan-neck stem spare if you're interested

May not be 100% period correct but closer than whats fitted

that is cool. just do the bike justice and swap the saddle. even if its not period.
