Built this one for a friend, found a guy on ebay who'd bought the original bike back in '96 riden it home put it in his garage and left it there so got it off him in mint contdition used the other parts to re build a team marin which had the same spec list and using a few other cool NOS bits made this little beauty:
Frame: Marin Pine Mountain
Fork: Marin Rock Star
Headset: DiaComp DiaTech
Seat Bolt: Odessey Sveltte Ti
Seat post: X-lite Metal Matrix
Saddle: Fizik Pave
Stem: Kooka Klyde
Stem Cap: Hope Head Doctor
Handlebar: X-lite Xpert
Handle grips: Onza Ulse
Gear levers: Deore XT
Gear Cables: Jagwire Braided teflon lined
Mech Front: Deore XT
Mech Rear: Deore XTR
Brake levers: Paul Love levers
Brake Cables: Jagwire Braided teflon lined
Brakes: Onza H.O.s
Brake Pads: OBE Clear Compound
Brake Hangers: Onza Chill Pills
Brake Bolts: Odessey Sveltte
Hubs: Hope Light+Ti Glide
Rims: Mavic X517 SUP
Nipples: Blue Alloy
Spokes: Sapim Double Butted
Tyres: Michelin Expert all mountain
Tubes: Slime Self Healing Tubes
Bottom Bracket: Deore XT UN72
Cranks: Raceface Turbine
Crank Bolts: X-lite
Chainrings: Raceface Team Rings
Chainring Bolts: Brand-X 7075 Alloy
Chain: Deore XT
Pedals: Azonic Accelerator

As the frame was a blue-ish grey I stuck with Blue grey and polished parts I did use a few modern parts such as the tyres but I just though they set it off well.

Staf.

I really like this. Well done, a nice build.

I think a Flite saddle would finish it off perfectly.

Sweet! 8)

The best of it's breed in my mind and the 96 colour scheme was spot on.

My first 'brand new' mountain bike was a 96 Pine with a pair of amp F3's.

memoriieeees like corners of my mind.............. :D
