Salsa A La Carte - Rennovation

Just completed rebuilding my 1991 Salsa A la Carte which had suffered a damaged seat tube. I've had the frame since new and it's done many thousands of miles till, to my horror I discovered a crack at the junction of seat tube and BB back in the summer.

After months of deliberation I've finally had it fixed by the good chaps at
Bob Jackson Cycles. Here are a few pics for anyone whose interested.
It's like a new frame again now - I just can't decide if i should leave it
plain white or paint the red, green and yellow 'Rasta Flags' back on.

Anyone got an opinion ???

Cheers

that bike definately deserves the colour. take the salsa stickers off as it is and it could be anything to the casual observer. take the stickers off and add the colour and its obvious what it is.

i'm not saying remove the decals, i'm just using that to demonstrate my point!

colour is king

Look's very classy as it is but i'd vote for the Rasta/Jellybean finish, this was how the bike was originaly and despite being iconic a Jellybean A-La-Carte is hardly a regular sight.

Nice! It is the sort of paint detailing you could do yourself though, Innit!
I can't say I'm overly fond of long travel forks on early 90's steel though...
My old '93 Kilauea definitely suffered from having 75mm up front.

I think Ross' wife/partner used to do them by hand - so they're all unique (some inspired, some less so...)

Rasta/jellybean

Put some colour on it fella

The salsa's in rasta definately look the biz! But so do the jellybean finish ones!

Lovely bike by the way. Bob Jackson have done quite few frame restos

for me over the years. Can i also say that some early Bonty forks

would look ace on your Salsa

my vote would be to put back the colours! doesn't seem right without it given what it is.
