1989 Ascent Ex

This is sort of a unicorn bike for me.

When I was a wee nipper, around 9 or 10, and first getting into the sport, It was one of these(actually it was an Apex) that really got me going.
Obviously washing up and milk rounds were never going to allow me to save up that much, So I ended up with a lovely 300ex Lump of pig iron instead.

I've had quite a few Diamondbacks since, but none have ever held the appeal of the smoke series.

Thats a beautiful bike you have there Scrat i have one just the same everything is original just as it was back in 1989 it even has the original Farmer John tires

Those early 90's DBs were always nice to ride, and good value too.

Out of interest where did you find those tyres?

Hi raidan73 the tyres are the original that came with the bike when it was new back in 1989 so you can imagine how many miles my bike has (not done )
