1983 Specialized Stumpjumper

Dr S

Old School Grand Master
Just scored this beauty off eBay. Totally original aprt from the tyres (anyone got any early Specialized CrossRoads going spare?).

Originally a gift to the boss of Santa Cruz Skateboard Co from Mike Sinyard himself. The Flame Decals on the top tube were fitted at the time. Looks to have led a very easy life. Looking forward to its arrival and giving it a run out.

very  and a worthy addition to the stable.

There can't be many left in such good condition. Like finding a pristine Cambrian era fossil. Unusual to see such an old bike in such a usable size too!

Thats why I had to have it- they are usually like gates!

Anyone mind if I carefully remove the reflectors when it arrives?

It is nice to score an original bike in pristine condition, much like my Tufftax.

No, its not wrong to remove the reflectors. I have carefully removed the front, rear and wheel reflectors and bagged them up.

My Tufftrax is wearing pristine Specialized Crossroad 1.5's.......but sorry I cant give them up!

Enjoy it, and keep it mint.

Cool

Dr S, that is a very cool ride you have there
Love it.
