Can anyone help me with a question regarding my Raleigh torus ti frame.
Originally it was a 1993 ti frame, not the bonded and lugged variety, I think it was seem welded tubes). That cracked so it was swapped in around 1998/99 and the new one had thicker dropouts. Similar to another members bike it has a BB monunt/Etype front mech mount on the seat tube and it takes a 31.6 pin which is bigger than the original.
My question is about the type of titanium used, does anyone know ? got any old brochures knocking about ? I seem to remeber reading this somewhere, may have been off the frame sticker, but this one doesnt give any clues, just says 'IMI titanium strength enhanced tube set'
I have found a guy who can make and weld a disc mount to it but I need to know which grade or alloy of titanium it is.
