Picked up a 1997 Kona Lava Dome yesterday. I haven`t had the time to look that much at i yet, but it looks OK. The paint is nice, but the grips-shifts are horrible! The same is the Tioga bar-ends. Luckily this will be turnd in to a singlespeed commuter so the gears will be removed.
The front wheel and the braks are not original, but I would have gone for V-brakes anyway and the front wheel is crap and will be replaced with something else.
Don`t know what look I`m after, so I will be glad for any pointers and advice given! Hopefully the weight will be below 10Kg when finnished.
