Hello its my first post on here and i am looking for a little advice.

I have been offered an Alpinestars bike but i'm not sure if its a cro mega or Al mega, but before i go to have a look i have heard there were problems with the frames cracking, could someone please point me in the right direction as to where they crack and what else to look for.

if its a Al-Mega look at the headtube, thats the common place where they crack.

If it's an al-mega think very carefully about it, might only be useful as a garage queen or donor bike. Cro-mega's are bomb proof so long as they ain't too rusty.

basicly you'll want to check the whole frame and double check around the welds , should take you 10 minutes to scan it right :D
