Nice!

My brother still has a 1990 Cinder Cone in white with the splatter effect paint job that's in pretty much original condition.

It's got those funny Suntour rear brakes that claimed to use the rotation of the wheel to actually increase the amount of braking force but in reality they were absolute pants. Anyone remember them or know what they're called?

Suntour Self Energising Brakes if i remember correctly. The were quite chunky i think, oh heres a pic

i think my bro had some on his Hardrock Comp. they cant have worked very well, cos he was always faster than me on the downhills...

Funny you mention the self-energizing brakes, because they are on my Cinder Cone. So far I find them consistently responsive, but that's based on only 200 k or so. Other than the Deepak Chopra-esque term "self-energizing", is there a flaw I should watch for?
