Nice, nice bike Pete,

Would be a shame to get her muddy...does she behave herself in the bedroom though?....urm, sorry is it just me that sleeps with my bike?

Rich

Thanks guys, she does get the occassional canal path pootle, but the hard work is left for my Turner.
This ones real wall art now, I'd be a bit too scared to be heavy on a 13 year old frame with a set of forks with a rewelded steerer tube (even though the work was done perfectly by Dave Yates)! But rest assured she has had heavy use in the past in many guises (single speed, front sus, all shimano, no shimano, campag.....)
Believe it or not the parts weren't as bad as I thought cost wise - I swapped a shonky old San Andy frame for this frame a long while back, the wheels were about £100 all in, cranks about £60, mechs $100 (from Cambria), IRD brakes were about $50, and most of it was either new/NOS or unused! Just took time and patience to get it all together, I doubt I could do it again though :0(

Patience is certainly a virtue when it comes to retro builds...
