No really retro, but classic. A friend of mine bought for a nice price a Zaskar.
All Deore XT and an old Judy. Bike is now stripped and will be rebuild.
The bike has been really used, but will be used again like it should be.

Where do you draw the 'retro ' line, Thats a '97 Zaskar so its 10 years old, thats pretty retro as far as bikes go.

I love it.

Love old Zaskars.........

Mmmmmmm.

A Zaskar'd be retro if bought brand new now IMHO - that's the difference between 'retro' & just 'old'!

the zaskar was and allways will be a classic mtb .despite this a lot of
folk think their just another h*lfords cheapy

love mine but its a 2000 and not retro

I've got a '99 Zaskar (Team edition) brand new frame hanging in my bedroom, which I still have to build up.
And my '97 GT LTS which is for me quite new (well most parts), but the young guys fnd it really old and don't even know GT.

So, I've got signed in myself.

Thanks LTS Biker for introducing my "new" bike.

Are those sunset rims? Nice.

They are the original Mavic 217 yellow/goldish rims, with the GT hubs, which still run smooth and loud. Only a little play on the front one, which he can't get out of it.

The bike is re-assambled and shines again.
It's now fitted with my (LTS) Azonic bar and WTB saddle, instead of the Titec bar and ugly worn saddle.
For the rest new chain, cassette and middle chain ring. FSA headset, a better looking Kore post and a P-bone fork in it.
Pics will follow.
