Built in June of 92 18" frame....so u-brake in the rear....this frame was in one of the first batches to get anodized at GT. Anodized Zaskar LE frames first showed up in a GT catalog in 1993 which was the year they switched to cantilever bosses in the rear of all sizes except the 14.5". I'd been sitting on this one for a while...wanted to get it built up earlier...back when purple was the BOTM competition. I worked for a while back and forth with Gil getting the 1993 decals dialed in for this frame as there haven't been any original GT decals available for 1993 for over a year. Pretty simple build on this one.

For some reason I don't get as excited about those 'frost ano" colors as I do these. The textured aluminum attracts dirt and was intended to have a flat almost matte appearance. These were Ball Burnished before being anodized and they pop pretty good especially in the right light. Matt is your incoming BB, red or blue?

it was red, before he sort of sanded it and he sprayed it blue, home done jobby, the colour looks nice but ill be stripping back to bare alu, and polishing it hopefully

That's going to be a ton of work because those frost ano frames where like...finely bead blasted before anodized..Rest ye olde elbows!~
