Mantis XCR-EC 1990

Retrobike Rider
After a prolonged journey across the pond (twice... ) the Mantis frame and AMP fork arrived yesterday, a tad too late to trouble the likes of Hairstream and Zingel in BoTM!

Scraped together a hasty build overnight continuing the Mavic theme - cranks and rear mech already in place - with some underbar shifters; a new XT post and white saddle (knew it would suit a bike eventually!); a red Pulstar wheelset; faded bars, bottle cage and Flite Controls bar ends. Now for the fettling...

Mucho thanks to Fairfax Pat for receiving and shipping the bike to the UK and to Ash at the LBS for a lightning turnaround on the headest etc.

Bit of shoe polish for the Rolls and you're nearing perfection.

Always like the MrKawasaki builds

That's happened to me too... ;)

Great build, red and white are a sweet combo

Ah, it makes sense now.

Very clean "quick" build, AMP is lovely on there.

I'm kicking myself for letting my Mavic group go... gave up on ever finding the last piece (crankset).

Thanks for the link...

...so I can drool some more. ;)
