Well, now the garage is warmer, I've finally got the Zaskar on the road.... 75% as I want it.

Thanks to the following

Frame from Kevin in the USA ( gm1230126)

Wheels from someone on here, sorry, cant remember who, XTR hubs and Mavic SUP

Chain ring from ededwards

Magura HS 33 hydraulic v brakes from taulpaul

Ritchey ProLite Bars from steve k

Titec seat post from steve k (I think?)

Bonty Saddle from Bristol Bike Jumble

Red Ritchey pedals from CTK

Red X-Lite skewers from oldschoolpete

Forks and cranks from Ebay - the cranks are Limited Edition RS 7s and will be replaced with RS2s soon.

Chain tensioner from ebay  (old campag saphire I think!)

The Hope stem will be replaced by something from the right vintage so longa s it's red and around 80/90 mm

Mid 90's onza bar ends already mine as were the tyres.

Sorry for the poor pic - will post better ones soon.

You should be able to tell the year from the frame number.

Definately not a 97 though with the guide on the seat tube for cantis.

Latest it should be is 96. Chris.

Edit: It is very nice though

More desireable than the 97's in my book. No dorky fat bloated downtube.

or the penalty of forever smelling of 'cheese' will be dealt to you.

 :D

and a quick 'date my zaskar' tip:

gear hanger has two bolts = early

one bolt = later
