DONE: Raleigh Torus XT Titanium

Next up is my Torus XT.

I took this one close to a stock rebuild. From frame and forks, great parts sourced, mainly from helpful fellow RBers.

And, big thanks to Dan Chambers for his excellent work repairing the Trimnell forks.

Very very nice ! I used to have a ‘99-2000 RSP Ti which I decked out in Sachs Quarz/plasma synchros and Paul’s. Certainly not catalogue spec.
I’m really liking this XT spec with the forks - look forward to the finished article

All of a sudden there are two Trimmel forked bikes on 97 Mtb forum!

Bits and pieces slowly arriving, some harder to find than expected for my close-to stock build.

Decent saddle sourced and on the way....

Tyres proving difficult (Psycho K), three nice alternatives on the way to see me right in the short term.

Rear mech and cassette on the way.

Front mech a little elusive, ebay alerts fully activated.

Forks undergoing repair, and new titanium handlebar on a plane/ship from the US, with thanks to Dan

Brakes/shifters causing a dilemna. I want a near-stock build with the 737 brifters, but i dont like them, I've always been a gripshifter....what to do?

Bar ends, i have 2 decent xlite options whilst i continue the search for the stock item...
