Feature Bike
Right if anyone wants a squizz at the old girl here she is.

I shipped this from the US as a parts bin or pub bike. I'm assuming a bit of a rarity in the UK? Decals and a few components were tatty, but really it only needed a quick strip down [although if you look carefully you'll see that I spent some care polishing the spoke protector ;) ]

Definitely to good to break, so pub it is. [the Pub is at the top of the hill, and the fuji's long wheelbase makes for a suitably stable return journey]

Rather heavy, but rides with such a reassuring, comfortable lope that I've found myself using it more often than I thought I would.

Proper Retro!

Lots of shiney bits- always good, especially those brakes.

It's a sign of the times that with work and children, my Fuji pub bike wasn't getting much use. So I've tweaked it into a town bike suitable for going to the shops.

There is a boozer on the way to the shops of course .......

Changes:

Brookes B68 saddle
SR Bullmoose stem
22mm super wide bars
Suntour XC power brake levers
Drilled 39t chainring
Suntour Cyclone II mech
Caradice Nelson Saddlebag and QR 'bagman' support
Araya 7x Rims with Ground Controls
Some Mudguards

At frst I was slightly disconcerted at the clobber I'd thrown at it, but it all works well and is useful which means the bike gets ridden. Although I'd prefer a Honey saddle and think the tyres will have to be swapped for something more tarmac friendly. Anyone recommend a good amber wall road tyre - say 1.75"?

I've also found out that it's a 1986, not '85 as I originally thought.

Here's the catalogue link to a neat Fuji site.
