I've got my first Merlin in 2003. 10 years later I wanted to have a other one.
I get this Merlin mountain from Jeff Archer (First Flight) in 2014. Sérial number arround #1100.
Then, the built take some years...

Here is the first picture when I get it.

The frame have the pressfit BB with 17mm axel.
I first change the bottom braket ball bearing by new Philwood parts.

I clean up the frame, and choose to built it with a Steeve Potts Type II fork.

The frame is built for a U-brake / Roller-Cam brake on the stay, with a lovely little noodle to guide the cable.

After the first pre-assembly I thought the black fork was fine, but was too classic. There's a lot of beautiful Merlin built with black fork and accessories, so I want something different.

I was inspired by something like that.
