Well seeing as I'm waiting for my 91 Explosif to come back from the paint shop, I couldn't resist picking up another frame for a quick project to keep me busy.

It arrived today and is in need of a little attention, here she is having been reassembled and me putting a few of my bits on it.

It does require a new seat post (the one fitted has been cut super short) and a correct size seat post clamp. Does anyone know what size I need for both?

I have everything else to get it built up (wheels coming at the weekend), I think the paint will polish up ok, with some silver touch ups required in a few places (have to find a close match)

Well seeing as my Explosif still isnt back yet  I decided to get this finished....

Paintwork has plenty of "patina" but no dents or cracks and polished up pretty well. Got a nice wheelset from minifreak, so its got a good period mix of Deore XT, DX and a sprinkling of LX!

Hope you like it!

I completely agree about the tyres, but this was only a quick project while im waiting for my Explosif. I'll leave the tyre upgrade to the next owner!

I thought I'd do a little comparison, my 2017 Orbea Alma H50 29er, with the Cindercone in front, seats at the same height, only 24 years between them!
