Since photofukit has spoiled all my links etc, I though I’d start a new thread but keep all my bikes in one space. Over the spring I will service, clean and sort all of them and update as appropriate.

So here goes.

Newest addition, 1991 Claud butler antaeus rebuilt with pace, dx and finishing kit kicking around the workshop......read floor and storage piles

Re: Longuns bikes.........all of them, jan=claud butler antaeus

Nice to see another built. It definitely needs maguras and Blackwall tyres (oem were tioga mud and trail dawg black walls) I think, which is great as you can stick some modern Schwalbes or contis and it won’t look wrong. Looks better with 2.1 tyres as well as it’s quite a chunky steel frame. Pace forks work well and being uk brand fit well with the bike, should certainly work better than the xc400 that came as oem. Of course it’s only IMHO, it’s just nice to see another. Any plans for a repaint in fluro enamel?

Re:

Nah this ones a rider, I've a few too many retried ones I don't want to get mucky.....Well too mucky haha so it'll stay as is. The maguras I have stashed away are in prep for another project ;) when I stop spending and start saving haha

Re: Longuns bikes.........all of them, jan=claud butler antaeus

how did you get on with the BB?

I neither had the patience nor the budget to really go town on it - only then to find it was too small/ big/ orange etc etc
