1989 stumpjumper deep purple

I bought this bike about a year and a half ago from the first owner. He got in 1990 when the mtb craze was hitting the Netherlands and, over the years, replaced every single component. So basicly I got myself a frameset. the toptube specialized decal was missing and the rest was damaged. The paint also didn't look like much but after a good polish the metallic purple came out really good. There was also stone chip, but nothing a little touch-up paint couldn't cover.
I ordered new decals from gil but didn't check on the dimensions: the seattube decal is too big and the dwontube one too small. There's some other details (maybe you experts will see) but I think all look good as it is.
anyways, I'm not too good at writing stuff down, so here's some pictures:

Re:

Always got some love for a minty stumpy. Still gutted i turned down an offer by a customer’s of his first gen 81 for £50 bitd.

I had an '83 that I got from the States back then too, loved it but eventually traded it in for something newer and less used. God knows what it would be worth now!

As long as not made in China  Wasn't it only the M2 and top range made USA the rest in Japan?
