...when a Midget loves a Goat...

Fillet Fetish

Senior Retro Guru
It all started about 5 years ago when I first spied that particular goat´s buttocks here on this page:

those curves around the fillet brazed monostay rear end, these beautiful lines, those insanely flat tubes, this integrated seatclamp, those paintjobs like directly out of an LSD trip...

It was clear: the midget (I) fell in love with the Goat (Mountain Goat Deluxe) - the only problem was: the right kind of goat is really hard to come by, most of all in the 16-18" size variation.

After seeral years of search I managed to capture one of those rare beasts - and this is the story of how she will be outfitted, restored and built :)

and after almost 5 years of search and endless 2 weeks to wait for the parcel to arrive from North Carolina I caught the first glimpse of the goat´s rear end with the "skirt" halfway up revealing almost everything :)

Unpacking the frame gave me real joy - a fitting fork has arrived as well in the meantime - a first mockup picture of frame and fork.
I will go for something unconventional stemwise as well - that is in my opinion the best fir for a Deluxe - better even than the original Goat stems - any ideas what I could be talking about?

Re:

That rug is almost as crazy as the frame!

Beautiful bike, you must be pleased! ...our search continues ....

I love it, such a stunning frame, and so much personality!! For the stem, a Grove Hammerhead comes to mind. Or a fillet brazed Ritchey bullmoose.

This should be fun...
