shouldn't be too difficult to find a riser MC2 which would help your back. the no-rise MC2s are really only for the show or the hardcore racers among us...
or you could use the later MC3 stem which has some rise and a riser bar. but then you wouldn't have the brake cable stop (noodle).

hopefully you can do something (riser) about your riding problems.
