As from my other thread i was looking for a unicorn but ended up being the only bidder on this Carbolite full suspension bike.
It's hoped to get it finished for Mayhem 2017.

This is how i got it

I've got it stripped down today and found a crack in the seam on the head tube and the bonded in alloy shim has come out

Now to find someone to repair it.

Re:

I've sent a message to a eye who presumably does carbon. I'll let you know asap. Didn't unospeedo do a repair on his formula 1, he might be worth a message

Re:

I have found a place not far from me that does carbon bike repairs, also GT-Steve works in the carbon industry so i'll give him a bell too.
Let me know though if your mate can too.

Re:

MAJOR THREAD RESURRECTION

I've actually started building this now i have all the parts with a view to displaying it at the Malverns Festival.

I had the wheels rebuilt by Dan at http://www.handcraftedwheels.co.uk aka Cannondaleking and added new Smoke and Dart tyres.
The frame has been repaired by GT-Steve and fully polished with new decals by Gil.
I had the rear swing arms powder coated in gloss black to match the frame.
I rebuilt the Marzocchi XC400's that i snaffled from Longun with NOS seals and new oil and new decals.
I discovered the hard way that the bottom bracket threads are opposite to normal after cross threading a NOS Real Crankcase cup but was saved by the generosity of Retrospud as he had a spare one :xmas-cool:

I am now having fun and games fitting and setting up the Magura HS33's.

Anyway here's some pics.
