Orange Prestige Collection 1991, 92,93 builds...

Orange 🍊 Fan
My Orange prestige collection, the Prestige bug has hit me hard recently, with really enjoying reading through Dyna cols thread on his 1990 Prestige .. Also you just don't seem to hear, see or read much on the Prestige on the internet.. Light, agile bikes, becoming increasingly rare due to the thin walled tubing.. Damaged one in the past by lightly placing it in a vice and denting the tube  sadly sold on now...
My current pride and joy is the orange and white fade 1991, currently being built up with XT and DX.. Managed to get a set of mint white bars from MatBHs, to go with the white skalk stem. Have opted for DX seatpost and Rolls saddle as advised. All parts are ready, just the usual case of cabling up and finishing it..
The 1992 Prestige is somewhat battered, but I only paid a mere £100 quid for it, changed the seatpost to a purple USE, X-lite barends and some new truegrips. The rest of the bike is original kit, including the some what perished ground control tyres  Just need to but on another Xt rear mech on, and cable up and batter it some more! Always wanted this colour scheme, really liked Dossa's prestige on here.. so that's what gave me the impetus to get one! Plus I really like the old school onza sticker on the seat tube!

Lastly is the 1993 Prestige, where I bought the frame off Coleman on here, and it dons a lot of purple bling, such as the controltec barends, purple hotrods and a virtually new USE seatpost. Still undecided on groupset, thinking a mixture of xtr, xt and Lx for this. I also have some Orange fir wheels i bought off Jussa, i may put these on for this build :D .

Kind thanks HarryCrumb, a real complement from you, given the list of bikes you have :)... I see you have the very rare pink and white fade Prestige in your collection, fantastic! what a great find...

I see you have an orange thing going on.
Your name isn't William is it?

Never been that clued up on Orange. What was the hierarchy with Orange back in the day? P7, Clockwork, Prestige, O?

Re:

Like buses... a lovely collection of 3 Prestiges coming along at once. I particularly like the '91 with the white bars and Stalk – this is giving me news ideas for mine – I've recently acquired a battered but sound black Stalk. Have to say also that the '92 and '93 are most purpliciously funky too. I should be working but I'm too distracted now by the thought of Prestiges glinting in golden autumn sunlight filtering through the canopies of woodland trails...

Yes thanks the pink prestige will appear soon, almost there on parts now (xc pro). You've had the same idea regarding using early Pace rigid forks, I had that in mind for the pink Prestige. Even more so now I've seen yours.
