Ritchey Commando Size 16" -In progress

Ritchey Commando Frame Size 16" came out of no where , so I have to grab it even no match fork . Lucky enough that I manage to get super comp fillet brazed fork ..so project start!

Look like this frame was special order with Tange Prestige instead of 4130 and it is 16" not many of them were made.
 
First Look not in very good condition ,but no ding/dent






Fork steerer is far too long ,so I need to send the fork to cut and thread

I sent Super Comp fillet brazed fork to cut and thread should be ready for repaint . Will take sometime to look for more item to repaint at the sometime.

From what I was told , this frame is late production special order ..end of the Commando model 88-89, but my guess .. 87 since no commando in 88 catalog serial number #6B8 ,so look like around 10 frames were made in 16"
 
Very cool bike, I'd love one. I'd think the Prestige tubing would indicate a later build also. Have fun with the build.

Why the rack on the rear ? Is it a joke ?
