Managed to scan the pages from the 89 catalogue today, trying to get as much history and info on this thread so I'll keep it coming.

Cheers Si, I'm keeping an eye on your Zinn build 8) . Was lucky enough to ride alongside Sally Hibberd back when I was a teenager when she visited the Hawick CC for a weekend (she was riding for Zinn then). Might be lucky enough to own one at some point.

So been reading the info on Mombat for the Epic and noticed that the Paul Thomasberg bike they have has a similar serial number to mine "PT026". Obviously the PT is his initials so wondering if the "CW" on mine might signify a riders initials? any thoughts?

Right so had a quick look through the MTB hall of fame to check out a possible connection between the frame number and riders of the same era with the initials "CW" and have a possible match. Cindy Whitehead and have found a couple of pic's of her riding for Specialized on what looks like an Epic, could it be??
