Well after many nights tossing and turning 'stop giggling at the back' my lovely new old bike has landed.

I'm like dog with two bones at the minute and can't wait to get stuck into the restoration. I am surprised just how good the paint is so may leave as a survivor and do a little touch up and maybe a pinstripe.

Built by JP Morgen in San Fran' back In the early 90's for retail in one shop 'Thin Air Cycles' it was obviously built in very small numbers and by what I can gather changed each time as the builder progressed with designs. JP Morgen worked closely with Softride so you can see he was never going to come at the suspension concept from any other angle than his own.

More info about materials, construction etc... when I start the strip down. Thanks for listening to this old git's blather.

Re:

This the one that was on eBay?

I dithered over it, but couldn't make my mind up.

Look forward to seeing the build :)

Yes the only one I've ever seen for sale... thank you for dithering.

PS I banged in a proper cheeky bid too, although I did say it was going to a good home where it will be treated well!!

Re:

Well she arrived and now put together... a few changes already, but some others to come.

I haven't ridden it yet as the shocks need stripping down and working on. Now back at home and being taken apart for a proper cleaning, detailing (paint if needed!) and polishing.

I have to say I love this bike so much.

Re:

I've been in contact with 'JP' and he is sending some original decals for the frame.

I now need an M900 canti for the rear, black inline post and different saddle plus one or two others bits.
