well, after ruining the majority of my fleet over last winter i decided to look for a winter 'take all abuse' bike to use over the wet horrible months ahead, browsing ebay i came across this karakoram k2 with a BIN of 95 quid (so no brainer really) i bought it! The tyres that where on it weren't fit for use to i replaced with front and rear specific Panaracer Spikes which so far have proven excellent in the mud but equally terrifying on the tarmac, hey ho grip is what i needed. It has a smittening of DX all round apart from the wheels which are not original.
Ridden 3 times at this point and i loved it until one night last week the mrs decided to move it out of the hallway into MY shed and bent the front wheel  so im looking for a DX replacement already.
SO until then it is retired until further notice, here are a few pics of it on its trail debut!

Thats a nice one. Looks a bit on the large size for you.

If you ever decide to sell....please let me know.

Cheers

You would be correct there Martin it is a large frame and alot bigger than my other bikes, that been said reach isn't so much of a problem and with the seat down low it handles quite well. If it's testing period over the winter turns sour for me I'll message you before I put it up for sale!

Hi, nice bike!
I have just bought a frame set and wonder whether I can ask 2 questions first of which,
The clamp size on front mech is 28.6 isn't it?
Is the stem 1 inch or 1 1/8

Loving the bike, I look forward to getting mine in about 2 weeks or so, then will have a U Brake and front mech from the UK.
