97 King Kahuna (weight weenie content)

Been meaning to post this for some time. This is by far my favorite ride. At an honest to goodness 16.48 lbs. (7.475 Kg), its an outstanding performer. Super responsive and agile. Not period correct by any stretch but it was sure fun to build.

I must say it looked even better when you had a titanium P2 on it, so I have to believe that carbon Trigon must ride better. I mean, you wouldn't have fitted it just because it was lighter, would you Steve?

Ha! Lighter yes. I agree, the Ti P2 looks better but the ride of this fork is sublime. I highly recommend it.

Maxxis Maxxlite: 310 grams each. Lightest tyre on the market.

How do you find the Maxxlites?

I know some have moved away from them after repeated punctures due to the thin walls.

I have to say I like the idea of 310g tyres as long as they grip/handle OK and are relatiively durable.
