YETI PRO FRO 1992

Hello!

I’ve been a user of the retrobike forum for a little over a year now and figure its time I posted my build. For the past six months I’ve been working on building up a 1992 Yeti Pro Fro. Don’t know why but I’ve always liked Yetis and when I found this frame at a good price a while back I couldn’t resist. In my haste to get it up and running for light XC ridding I put together a quick makeshift build kit (containing some quality parts) with the intention of replacing them slowly with more high end and custom componentry.

Originally my plan was to go with purple and silver componentry with neon green answer fork bars and stem. This plan was scraped however upon the installation of the new Accu-Trax fork. The white fork looks very nice paired with the silver frame and white decals. The current plan is to maintain the white color of the Accu-Trax once the frame and fork are powder coated and to pair it with a white A-Tac stem. I’ll post more pictures as the build progresses! Hope you all enjoy!!

Re:

Yes these are interesting colors to say the least… the plan is to develop a bit more continuity in the build kit. When it’s all purple, silver and white it’ll be a little less drastic :)

Re: YETI PRO FRO 1992 or 3...

Surely the colours are tuning in to the fade ano on the Kooka cranks? Nice detailing.

Re:

Nice. Love the use of the coloured parts.
Not over the top and suits the bike very nicely...

Is that my old frame? If so looks great. Glad to see it being built up.
