93 Marin Palisades Trail WIP

Had a bit of time to look the bike over. It's gonna need new cables, new headset, new decals, new grips and a bit of surface rust removed. Think I may repaint the stem and bars. Also it has 2 different brake/gear levers at the moment.

Maybe the camera angle. There don't seem to be much difference in them and the ones on my 96 Bear Valley. I can't see any signs of paint cracking either

Managed to source another Shimano STX brake/gear lever for a tenna. Was gonna keep it original and get another Altus lever, but I prefer the STX levers anyway

Update time

Stripped the bike down to clean the frame. After cleaning it all down it was still looking a bit sorry for itself. So decided to have a go at painting the frame and fork. Here is the result. Don't think it's a bad match



Couldn't get the bottom bracket out, so masked around it :oops:
