Got carried away on eBay and regretted it pretty much as soon as I went to collect. Realised it was too far gone to keep it period so decided to strip back and enamel it while I decided what to do.

Decided on a single speed conversion, waiting on the parts to arrive and come together. So far spent about 12 hours stripping, cleaning, priming, painting etc and I'm pretty happy with how it looks so far. Also got the P2 forks done in the same colour but forgot to take photos.

I'd have kept it original with careful resto that frame would look fine :)

Your bike though .. Good to see it resurrected

I got the paint off with nitromors, a wire brush and wire scourer, took a long old time to get it properly clean.

Honestly if you'd had it in front of you you'd have seen how bad it was, there was paint bubbling up all over it and loads of thin veins, the paint had to come off to treat the rust while it was still treatable. It's a shame really but I'm happy with how it looks, just waiting on the parts to finish it now.

Haha yeah thanks again for them.

Yeah I used enamel rattle can, it's a good finish, just had to leave it for a month to cure before I could do anything with it. Real test of patience!

Re:

That's turning out great. Seem to have put some slicks on though but that's easily fixed!
