I acquired this 1995 Rafty Funnel in 2002. From than on it had been my 'roadbike' before I started riding and collecting roadbikes.

Some will remember the Rafty from OWMTBC in Wales in 2010. I brought it with me and used it for both the event and rides with Neil, Ed, Marcin, Pierre, Kean through London and Manchester. Great times.

Back in Holland I parked the bike away and didn't touch it for now almost 4 years  A couple days ago I decided it was time to enjoy some miles with the radical Rafty again. First thing to do was a polishing to bring back the original bling aluminium shine. So I did. Ready to go :)

The frame is custom built by Edward Hagen in Haarlem, The Netherlands. Another Dutch boutique item: the machined ALPA/Footwork stem.

I can't decide which I like more, the frame or the name!

Thank you.

The Rafty in UK:

OWMTBC 2010 in Wales.

Friday: on the hotel's parking lot many nice bike people met eachother. Bikes were taken from the cars...

..and the bike showing and bike talk started. For example on a cellophane wrapped Koga frames and fine Konas.

Always love seeing pics of the Rafty!

I remember it well from when you were 'sweeping' me up on the ride in Wales after I'd got a little lost somewhere...!

I think that might be Ed's rather nice Rocky Mountain leaning against the bench in the background too...?

It absolutely is, Tom :) Well spotted.

The Saturday was the day of all the 'compatative' elements. By the end of the day we all knew easy_rider became the new OW World Champion 8) The Saturday:
- concours 'd elegance with me being concours judge
- trial with collecting and dropping off toy food and beverages on a little bike following a funny course
- the race
- lecture on Alpinestars by Mark Sinnett and Tim Davies
- calling the champion and many prizes by Mr. Bear

Pic from me taking my job very serious on the concours:

Is this acceptable?

The Sunday: ride through Snowdonia with Marcin (Skolioza)

The Rafty looks wild, but behaved very well off road.
