greetings from sunny tuscany. bought a mtb recently - a "girardengo," exact date uncertain but it's definitely "old school." nice tubes (seamless, not welded), 26" wheels which i've changed to road tires. i've also added a layback seat stem as it gives me just the right amount of stretch for my legs. hasn't seen a mountain or even a trail yet but i'm gradually getting myself into ... "shape" - or as near as.

i'd like to post a photo but when i attempt to, i get a message saying the pixels must be 0 wide and 0 tall ... hmmm ...

but i posted the photo to the retrobike facebook page and it worked ok - it's not as if you've never seen a beautiful, well cared-for bike before or had to endure looking at endless photos of same as shown by their proud owners - graziemille:

This is the error message you get:

The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels
high and at most 1280 pixels wide and 0 pixels high.
The submitted image is 1600 pixels wide and 1200
pixels high.

Your image is simply too big in size (too many pixels). Nevertheless,
here you go buddy:

tomorow i may take a break from battling the rampant weed growth around our place and take the bike out on a trail - it'll be our first trip "off road."
