I love Americans, those welds are just fantastic and good to see you got the matching stem with it. Doesn't the serial indicate this is a 1990 build 19"? All looks fantastic, although I would prefer other tyres on this bike. What are the plans with it?

Sweet!
Looks to be in great shape!
If I can make one suggestion....
I would save those Porc's for another build. They arent working for me.
Also...what make fork?

Re:

Great bike, are you saying that its sat like this for 20+ years? Incredible if so.

I have a Comp Lite that needs building. Yours is pretty much what I'm aiming for! However agree with others about the tyres. Some blackwalls would be cool IMO.

Yes the bike came into the shop last week and the owner simply didn't ride it and it was sitting in the garage like you see here.

Tires are going to go on another build down the line... not sure yet, it takes a special bike to wear the White ONZA Porcs.

The bike will be parted out and sold off but before we did I wanted to share it here as it is rare to see such a complete unmolested example.

Some of the XT parts will be headed to our Alpinestar build.

She's a beauty!

The fork is original to the bike but with zero markings. I agree.... black wall porcs would look great on the bike.

Nearly NOS? What does that mean?

Nearly New Old Stock... meaning the bike is barely ridden. You are right though, I shouldn't throw around NOS unless we took the parts out of their OG boxes. The bike is minty fresh.

Re:

May not be appropriate to this thread, but what's the difference between this and a Comp Lite?

That's a good question.

The catalog doesn't say much... only thing I can find is that The Comp Lite was the quicker handling bike and was available in the Midnite version which featured a black hard anodized frame, black chrome fork and black components.
