No that wasn't it  Where am I? Retrobike. Ah right. moving on.

Last summer I restored his 1953 Armstrong Moth and did a rather nice job of it, keeping it as original as possible etc. (see link in sig) Well, He thinks it was 1993 when he decided to try mountain biking. Went to his lbs, bought a bike, rode it once, decided it was all a bit cumbersome and heavy, hopped off and put it in the shed.

I was given it today. All i have done is wiped it with an oily rag and put some air in the tyres. Pedals (sakae low fat) etc all spin freely. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Anybody fancy a smoke or two? Would 93 be right?

So that's two free bikes in two days. Going for a lie down.

She's looking over my shoulder. Right now. Smiling. I think.

That's not a smile, it's a grimace, and you haven't seen the blunt object she is holding.

please lower those bars back down to the proper position.

other than that, it looks like tidy kit on that bike… good stuff! ;)

amazing. It will be very satisfying to just wipe and lube the parts as you swap them over no, fussing looking for just the right this or that or deciding which front derailleur is in better shape etc etc... nice score.

Would the bars be too much on the Killi Estay? I think so. The rubbers are mint. Is the f+f etc worth something to somebody? Ho do i get the levers off without trashing the rubbers! WD40?

i use WD40 with the spray straw and a long plastic zip tie to wedge between the grips and bar. is the grip all one piece on that???

Re:

It'd be a real shame to split something that original, in my opinion.
You could sell it to a Diamond Back fanboy and then spend the funds on buying the bits you need for your Saracen
