Retro Newbie
Hi all. i'm new here. My name is Filippo, i'm 38 and i live in Monza Italy.

today i purchased an incredible 94 stumpjumper in grey green.

it's just like new.

it was bought full optionals and used probably ten times.

it has a rockshox judy xc fork from new. (i had the rigid fork with the bike)

it has original specialized:

saddle gray perforated
tires more extreme+cannibal both in grey rubber + kevlar
computer
saddle bag
horns
bottle
cage pedals

does any of you knows what of these were optionals please?

ty for reading me

Re:

Wow that is in timewarp condition!

The best year/colour for me and is deffo on my list of frames to build up!

Tony....

Very nice bike. Only thing not original on the bike is the fork. It wasn't available in 1994. If you want a fork from 1994, you have to find a Mag21. But very nice to see you have the original fork also!

Good luck with these, they are lovely to ride!

Re:

thanks to you all.

for stumpjumper 1990 about the fork:

what year is the fork in your opinion?

i have no experience with this "early forks"

i have rigid bikes and a modern bike with modern fork.

the "judy" just seems not to work.

i am heavy. but there is no way to have some travel.

even on the maximum regulation it is blocked down.

what i have to do?

what parts i need?

thank you.

FIlippo

The fork is from 1995. Not really a big deal, but these frames weren't designed for suspension forks.

Think it's much nicer with the rigid fork.... But I do have a 1994 M2 and have a Judy DH in it sometimes... I really shouldn't comment!! ;)

I think it may be in German though but if the info is there and its just a bit of typing into translator. Best make a start ;) :p

nice section. very interesting. i saw it costed a lot. 1999 dm! in 1994

stumpjumper 1990: when you told fork is not from 94 i was in doubt.

seems that the rigid fork was removed as new for its condition and i was quite sure of this thing.

but if you say fork is from 95 could be possibly fitted as new.

only some month of storage for the bike and the new fork goes on the bike of the year.

that's no0t important im my vision. important is that the bike and the fork are from the same era.

important that the fork is full working.

otherwise it is better to put the rigid fork back.

now, another doubt:

i need tires, i need saddle, i need handle grips.

i put all this parts in a box to preserve them.

i will use "ritchey true grip" grips. i remember they were available in nienties. isn't it?

then the tires: is there any vintage tires you can buy new?
only panarecer smoke/dart?

saddle: the same. any old model you can buy new?

is there any section or topic like " vintage things that are still in production"?
