A few pictures of my stripped and polished 97 Explosif before I start to rebuild. Any views on black or silver finishing kit? Drivetrain will be mostly XTR. Click on the link as I cannot sus out uploading to this forum!

Superb, I thought it looked in good condition, but that is excellent really. I don't understand how that could have been an 'unpopular colour'.

I wonder if they took inspiration from the 1996 Explosif below? And I wonder if anybody has seen one before? The 1996 Explosif was dark grey/green, but the Spanish owner of this one says he has never seen a green one, only yellow, so maybe they had a different batch painted just for Spain.

But of the two, the 97 definitely looks better IMO.

That's a beautiful frame Trevor! Stick with your plan of Black/Silver/XTR and you won't go far wrong. And thanks for the pic of the 1996 Anthony, perhaps you can start a thread with just pix of the 1995 & 1996 Konas - images of these two years are very hard to find.
