Well, due to flood water preventing me getting anywhere today, I gave up and came home and decided to work on a bike, as I hadn't had an opportunity all over Christmas and New Year due to the damn weather. For a goodly while, the Zobop was on the stand as I couldn't see me ever selling it and decided to build it up, but the Trek frame in the corner just kept catching my eye, and every time I picked it up...it was just SOOOO light.....so I had a rethink!

Comments welcome, I didn't get it quite finished as the light was going and I wanted to get some pics quick, plus I couldn't see how to get a cable into the XT shifter... Just that and the rear brake to cable up. Turbines not overtightened as threads not too good and they'll have to come off again as the BB is shot. Not sure about the forks either - they look too long and spindley (although A2C is exactly the same as the Indy S's that were on it!)

Feel it needs some beefier forks or maybe the rigid ones I have got, straight blade black things off a Subway, but I can see it building up very light if I make the effort, maybe XT BB and lighter front wheel (stock one from original bike on there at mo), better seat post, lighter pedals....

See here for what I need, the Zobop is deffo back up for sale/swap!! viewtopic.php?f=2&t=282771

3 wee screws on the bottom of those shifters which when unscrewed allow you to pull of the cable cover - beware the screws are unique to those shifters, are made of a metallic looking but cheese consistency and will strip at the first sign of any pressure applied.....

Ah, thank you!! Think that's a job for Friday in the daylight then, and starting to think should have done this BEFORE putting shifter on the bars....
