Bought this off Fattiman a couple of weeks ago. Cheers mate!!

I know technically it should not be here cos its a 99 bike, but i feel more at home here.

Just finished stripping it.

Just put it on the scales, bare bones weighs in at 3lb 5oz!.

Whilst stripping, i found 2 easton stamps on the Maintube and Top tube. Showing the logo, and 7005 ULTRALITE.

I think the E4 was the first to use it.
It was a nice surprise to find the logo on the frame. Most E4 frames i have seen have been painted so maybe the recipiants were unaware of them.

Thanks for you comments chaps. yes i think i will keep it shiny.

I want to pair it up with ridgid alu forks, I have 1" f9 forks but the E4 is 1-1/8.
Whats the chance of marrying these together with a shim?

Will look good polished but remember to wax it with the best you can buy , then it will retain some of its shine for longer :)

As regard shimming the forks, I have done this on cannondales 1 1/4 down to 1 1/8 of past with no issue, so cannot see why you could not shim 1 1/8 to 1 " , in fact I think I have some of these in the spares box if you decide to go for it. :)
