Hi,

I always thought it was a 19.5 ! It used to belong to me. And if you want to top the build off there is a softride stem for sale on here at the moment.

I ran this bike with an allsop stem for ages and it is just like a magic carpet!

ps i have a silver Ritchey stem if you want that? cheap to you coz you are a fellow Ritchey lover. ;)

Cheers,Al

ok..i stand corrected...
its so big, that i thougt it was the biggest he made...
do you know who removed the canti stop on the back?.
not that i need it, but just wondered...

i have a softride stem, but more into rigid.. cleaner look, and ride..
but if you have a pic of the ritchey, i might be keen..(?)..

Hi,

No i dont know who removed the canti mount. I only used Vs so was never an issue.

I dont have any pics of the bike with the allsop on. Sorry.

The reason i say try it with a softride stem is if you ride swoopy single track and wind the pre load down so its nice and firmish. Then you will have the single track ride of your life!
I remember riding woodsy single track with this set up and a pair of crossmaxs and some real light kit. And it was an experience that i have never come close to since.I promise you ;)
On the other hand it is easy to get it all wrong on very technical trails.Because of the lack of rebound damping.

But do what i used to do and have a push iron for all occasions!

All the best,Al
