Just splurged on a GT Arrette from the 90's- 700c hybrid with a good high stem and decent tyre clearance that with the shorter top tube found on these tyep of bikes, I think will make a nice dropped bar "almost 29er"...

It's arrived and from initial peeks into the box (as far as I've got) shows its in stella nick with beautiful paint.

More updates and pics soon! Anyone with a nice splayed drop bar, or some nice old drop-bar brake levers please drop me a line.

Anyone know the year?

I'v do that with à columbus SL CX, hand made fork. 1.9 front tire 1.6 for the rear. XTR and record groupset. Tune parts.

Flat bar is better for stability and control.

70,5 degrees front, it's a very very good bike.

interesting to see what tyres I can fit in here. I suppose I'll need ones with small nobbles to maximise volume- thinking small block 8s...
