BiTD Build series - No.2 - 1993 KHS Montana Team

I plan of a bit a nostalgia trip by re-building my first three MTBs ...No.2 ....

After my yellow splatter Lava Dome was sold to a mate, I acquired a KHS Montana Team frame (ex-team) from a local bike shop.

I have a the frame in the cave and plan to re-build along similar-ish lines

Off all the bikes I had BITD my KHS Montana Team (in those colours, although I forget the year), was the best of the bunch. SUCH a good frame to ride. I constantly regret selling it :-(

The Montana Pro frame I rode BITD I still have. Unbelievably good frame..!

I gave the frame a polish with my new car polisher!...the blue has come up nicely, but the pink is too faded I think.

I need to rebuild/service my Mag 21 SL fork, but a very nice standard Mag 21 fitted in the mean time Also need to fit a USE ti seat-post but waiting on a shim.
