Kona Hei Hei build

The next build ... bought off here a couple of months ago, the frame is in generally good nick, couple of marks here and there but nothing that won't polish out.



The only issues are that somewhere along the line a rear brake disc tab has been fitted then removed leaving an ugly scar on the left stay.



and the font cable guide has been drilled out and welding along the guide cracked.



So for the last month I've been addressing the rear stay ... attacking a ti frame with a file is a bit of nerve racking experience but I must say I'm pretty chuffed with the result, I've lost a little of the machined detailing around the end of the stay but the overall result is pretty good and once it's built up I'm pretty confident you won't notice any imperfection even on a close inspection ;-)





Next up ... the cable guide ... think I'm going to have to find a ti repair specialist to help me out with this one ... enigma ?

I wonder why someone would go to the trouble of welding a disc tab and then remove it with what looks like a chainsaw?
