Well, after a lot of head scratching and drinking (as some of you will be aware) the Marin has been finished, again, for now, ish.

I don't know what I was thinking but I kind of like it. I'm sure the style police are just making an application for a warrant. I have made sure everything is reversible in case I hated it.

It is seriously big! Stand over height 33ins seat height from ground 43 ins!

Thanks to all who helped out with the drunken brake issue. Reverted to new deore lx cantis with the 105 levers. I have enough braking to slow me so all good.

Feel free to hurl abuse/praise/rotting fruit

Yes city jets. Have a pair of ritchey z max wcs 1.7 on the way that will go on it for the HONC and other 'rides' going out for a play on it shortly and will report back from a&e. I wanted a winter road bike thing.

The cables curled in loops at the ends is an interesting touch :P

Absynth I think. I threw everything I had in the shed at it. Once it works it may be 'refined' if I can be bothered. I'm liking the myriad of shades of blue anodising.

Cables haven't been trimmed as yet. Something to hang myself with when I realise what I've done.

You were right about the bottle cages. It is now a thing of beauty. Took them both off and put a BBB one on. Perfection.
