LOVE it! Beautiful bike. Older Mongooses don't really get the attention they deserve.
 
Might be worth mentioning that I've had the frame, Mag 20s, disc and virtually every bit on it now since I bought them new BITD.

Before the Mag 20s came out I had a Mike Augspurger One-Off Ti fork on it. Still have the fork.

Before the disc (which has Action Tech Ti cogs) I had the wheel in the photo on it - 14gauge Ti spokes, aluminum cogs.

Over the years other components evloved - Brakes have been Deore, Deore XT and DiaCompe 986; levers were XT then DiaCompe SS5 and SS7. Shifters - always Suntour XC Pro. At one point I had a hollow pin Rohloff chain on it as well - don't know where that went.

Saddle, brake shoes and cables are the only "non-original" parts on it now (but I still have them too).
 
You know, personally, I think ^that is a MUCH better history to keep, than turning it into a Tomac replica.
