hi
picked this up today. was very surprised to see it
on my local craigslist. thanks for the tip off roc. :)
i am a big fan of e-stay bikes. have wanted one of these ever since
i spied one on here.

will be a number of changes to this one.
that handle bar first off will be gone
also the nutted wheels. but will most likely use
majority of the drivetrain even though it's a mix.
do it on the cheap. biggest concern for me is stuck seatpost.
really stuck. wish me luck.
roy

I have a black handle that should work with this build. See you next week.

Nice score, Roy! 8) That thing looks to be in great condition!

If I were you, though, I'd replace that saddle, otherwise you might get screwed.

Can't wait to see the build.

Nice one!
Is this that model having pressed bearings for the chainset (not classic bottom bracket)?

That's sweet. I remember lusting after those (but maybe not the weight!) in MBUK back in the day. Maybe I should keep half an eye on CL again, but it always seems a bit pointless when Roy buys all the bikes :D :D :D

I have been looking for a 1/2 track for a couple of years now and you even got my size ;-) Can’t wait to see it finished.

hi
here's an update.
yes it has the press in bottom bracket bearings.

i had a try at the seatpost.
post snapped off when in the vice and twisting the frame. :x
looks like next step will be the caustic soda.
will be another first for me. should be interesting.
post is about 8" into the frame too.
